Do you use UMD's? I'm highly against iso's and I'm wondering how many people use UMD's to iso's. Backups of your own games dont count.

i use a umd to load my iso does that count
No..If you play iso's illegally (they aren't YOUR dumps) it doesn't count.
meh..
Yes I use UMD's to load my iso's. J/K
No really I still buy UMD's
I like to have a collection of games that are not on my hard drive.
UMDs mostly
umds to load isos
and im waiting for umds to actually be worth the money...not more
you should also add the choice "BOTH ISO's and UMD's"
isos but i have a few umds
edit: i actually use csos so no ones said thats illegal :D
every1 is a pirate....i use to use isos, now i mainly use UMDS
Hear Hear! CSOs FTW!Zitat:

I only use ISOs when the actual UMD game is too goddamned slow and has a lot of "LOADING" screens.
You know, like Ys. Ripped it myself and it works fine now.
i have pro evo 5 on umd and thats so fookin slow but cba ro back it up just yet. i dont play it that much anyway
Iso's are faster and you save more battery life:Jump:
i use both
Wow, i'm surprised as to how many people admitted to illegal activity.
is that true....i doubt it, wouldnt it burn the batteries faster? idkZitat:

I use UMD's since I am at 2.6, but if I were at 1.50 I would use ISO's.
yes it does since it use more battery to spin the umd that it does to read it from a mem stickZitat:

What if we use neither?
ISOs :o
Umds Ftw!!!!!
what about both?
UMDs :Argh:
I mostly use UMDs, i only have one iso and its a back up of my Astonishia Story. I backed it up because it was an iso under 70mb. :)
I'm not a pirate, so UMDs.
I back up all my UMDs to my memory stick. That way my UMDs stay in prestine condition. I don't even take off the wrapping. ;)
ISOs ftw, but i've actually been using UMDs alot lately, but some games aren't worth buying and i'm damn glad i didn't buy them because it would've been a waste of the money that i need.
Mainly ISO
Yeah, it's true. PSP burns more battery juice having to spin a UMD a million times. If it reads a game off the memory stick is saves a lot more energy.Zitat:

Iso's maybe easier for people in america to get a hold of cheap UMD's but here in sweden what ive seen all games cost around 50$ maybe sum reaaaly old game for 20$ so yeah i dont have the finances for umds, iso's may be illegal but what the hell screw sony, they wont let us have homebrews on any firmware cuz they are so greedy so ill be gready myself :)
Hmm I have one sample umd and 130 iso's

Dude, those are the same prices for America. Brand new UMDs cost from 40 to 50 dollars. After a few months they go down in price about ten dollars.
i have and use only one iso i dont own. the rest i have are backups of games i do own. loading times are WAAAAAy faster.
To be honest I've been using ISOs quite a bit lately. Not to play; I never even get into the game itself. I'm working with Adrahil (among others) on a program that can grab the encryption key for any game's savedata directly from the game itself, and to build a larger database of keys I've downloaded games. Our program kicks in the moment that it tries to access savedata, and then freezes the game. So even though I've pirated the game, I'm not even playing it.
i don't use isos cuz they would take away from my massive rom collection which i love dearly. if i had another stick i might though since most umd games/movies arn't worth the money. i own 2 umd games. madden 06 and gta lcs
Aren't ISOs considered PSP ROMs?
Yep, that's exactly what they are. And we all buy our UMDs and make backups of them. Yes we do. :pZitat:

You know what's funny? Those people who always go against pirating, but when you read thier sig they say that they have dozens of ROMs. :pZitat:

Yeah, those types of people are dilusional. As if it matters if a game is a day old or ten years old, it's still piracy, regardless what the laws say. If it's a commercial product and no money was used to obtain that product it's theft (unless it has entered in the public domain which no commercial games have). Hell, RIAA is still fighting people who make copies of the CDs they actually bought so their originals don't get a screwed up. This is a battle they've been fighting since the cassette showed up. There's no rationaling piracy, just admit it. I do. Wheather it's wrong or not is a whole other subject altogether.
